Today I have something a little different for you in terms of underwear news. Jeremy Lin’s plain grey boxer briefs are being sold on eBay with a "Buy It Now" price of $10,000.
The have been put up by eBay seller with the username "tieyourshoe7" with a starting bid of $1,000. Apparently the seller’s brother’s friend went to Harvard, was in the same dorm as Lin, and once took Lin’s boxers from the dryer by accident.
Jeremy Lin is a New York Knicks player, who in February 2012, quite unexpectedly led a winning streak for his team and generated a vast global following known affectionately as Linsanity.
This pair of undies is not the first Linsanity item to be sold on eBay. Just last week, Lin’s old jersey from the Erie BayHawks sold for a staggering $13,800. His other items from his Erie days, a shooting shirt and practice jersey, recently fetched $3,750 and $1,914, respectively. And his rookie card sold for $21,580, when card collector Yair Rozmaryn put it up for auction. Rozmaryn had bought the card from another collector for only $1,000 in the early days of Linsanity.
Who knows, maybe his undies will fetch a good price as well.
