Ok, so I will admit that as much as I love underwear, I was not entirely sure I was ready to let this whole "new-age organic craze" infiltrate my underwear drawer(s). That being said, I've never been one to turn down a free pair of underwear.
So when my friends over at Universal Gear sent me a sample of the new C-IN2 Bamboo, I slipped on the new No-Show Slider Brief
and instantly fell in love! Right off the bat, it is incredibly soft to the touch. After I put on the briefs and was inspecting the packaging, I remembered that the Bamboo also features C-IN2's new Trophy Shelf support system (so THAT'S what felt different). All I can say is WOW! What a difference two pleats make. The new design truly does keep everything front and center.
Now we all know that most underwear can seem great in the first five minutes of wearing it, but how does it hold up when put to the rigors of everyday life? I wore the brief all day at work and then took it out for a night on the town to see if the Trophy Shelf was just as effective after 9 hours of continuous wear. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no slipping, bunching or pinching at all throughout an entire day of wear. In fact, unlike its big brother Sling Support, the C-IN2 Trophy Shelf effortlessly keeps you up front and in place with no uncomfortable hoops or such (even at the end of the day, believe me...I got the looks to prove it). To add to the comfort and style, the leg openings of the brief are cut up and at an angle to accentuate your package while avoiding pinching of the legs. Toss in C-IN2's ultra soft waist band and I have to say this is perhaps the most comfortable brief I have ever worn!
After an amazing experience with C-IN2 Bamboo, I guess the moral of this story, simply put, is not to fear change. I'm now eager to try all the new fibers and what not that are starting to dominate the underwear marketplace.
