A couple weeks ago, I had that itchy feeling that I needed a new pair of briefs. So, I started searching online and found a pair I liked the looks of. I set my sights on buying the Calvin Klein Pro Rib Sport Brief. So, I went to my local department store and bought myself a pair. I've purchased sport briefs in the past and have always liked them. So, I was curious to see how the Calvin Klein Pro Rib Sport Brief would work out.
At my work, I do a lot of lifting and moving equipment around. On the day I wore these briefs to work, I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable these briefs were. They held up well to the movement I usually do at work. I never once had to adjust these briefs. This comes as a surprise because I usually have to adjust my underwear at work.
Later that day, I went to work out. This was a prime opportunity for me to really put these sport briefs to the test. I did my usual warm up jog, then lifted and finally ran a couple of miles.
Throughout my workout, I was never once disappointed in these briefs. They did what they designed to do. I was definitely going to add these into my gym bag from now on.
The Calvin Klein Sport Brief are made of a combination of 95% cotton and 5% elastane. This fabric combo brings you comfort by pulling moisture away from your skin, moving it to the surface of the fabric and then helping it evaporate quickly.
I was surprised by the color selection for these briefs. I thought Calvin Klein would have only offered the usual black and white selection. But, they threw a curve ball and added a Spanish moss. This is a darker grey than the normal Heather Grey.
The price for these briefs was a little expensive for my taste. They are normally priced at $16.00. I found them in a closeout bin for $11.99.
At this time I am writing this review, Calvin Klein discontinued these briefs. This is sad because Calvin Klein discontinues all the briefs I enjoy. From my searching, the only place you can find these briefs online is Ebay.
My Rating:
Overall, I give the Calvin Klein Sport Brief a solid 9 out of 10. I would have given it a 10, but I gotta take away a point for Calvin Klein not making this brief anymore.
