turnipHed Reviews Crawford by Red Torpedo
You heard it hear first! Tomorrow Dead Good Undies will be launching the latest addition to their underwear collection. Red Torpedo - King of the Underworld.
From the press pack we received it looks like Dead Good Undies will be selling the Crawford (contact sheet is below), Jericho and Simone lines.
They are available for £11.00 to £13.99 a pair or £28.00 to £35.00 for a three pack tin and with how well these held up, as you will read below, they are definitely worth it.
A couple of weeks ago I was very lucky to get myself a pair of the Crawfords, in grey/red, to try out and I have to say at first when I looked at them I was not at all impressed.
I thought they looked really bland and boring, especially after such cool packaging. The briefs come in this really cool tin, with a CD. That really impressed me. Very original and not at all what I would expect from an underwear retailer.
So I gave them a good look over, felt up the fabric, tugged at the seams and noted that these undies were constructed with quality and durability in mind.
First thing I noticed is that these briefs felt like a second skin, yet were not restrictive in anyway. Even though they don't have a constructed pouch like other underwear designs they still offered excellent support keeping the boys right were they need to be.
Next thing I noticed is that while they sit nicely on the hips, not a typical low-rise but definitely not an "all the way up to your nipples, err I mean waist" they offered me full coverage for the "junk in my trunk."
Then I felt it, scratching me in the back, the dreaded label sewn in the back of the waist band. It did not last long but I noticed it for sure. Probably more so because the underwear I have been wearing for the past while has not had any labels sewn in but the label and care instructions were printed on the inside of the fabric.
After checking them out in the mirror, my opinion on the style really changed. I really liked the way they looked, especially the fly! Try and wear these at the gym and see if that flash of colour does not grab the eye.
As you might now from my other reviews, I wear my new undies hard to try and get an idea what they would be like for just about any situation for any man wearing them.
After giving them the once over, trying them on, doing breakfast and stuff I headed out and spent the entire day running around the city. Finally it was a hot day and it was good to be outside soaking up some heat.
Not once during the day did I notice my underwear, I never had to readjust, never had to pull them up again over my rear end after bending down to grab something from the bottom shelf nor did the legs ride up on me and bunch up around my crotch.
Basically, I completely forgot about them. That is not necessarily a bad thing at all!
These undies clearly held up and were still as comfortable after a hard day running around as well as sitting at my desk working. They even felt just as comfortable when I was kicking back on the couch in the evening as they had felt when I drank my first espresso in the morning.

FIT -- 9 (out of 10)
