Did you know that UndiesDrawer had about a million unique visits last year? That's a significant amount of people visiting one website from all over the world.
It's so significant that it's been making me think lately that together we have an economy of scale that could do some serious stuff if we all pulled together for a common cause. Sure -- we all have the common cause of mens underwear, but let's try coming together around something bigger.
Today I created an UndiesDrawer giving page that allows you to donate to amfAR. amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, is one of the world's leading
nonprofit organizations dedicated to the support of AIDS research, HIV
prevention, treatment education, and the advocacy of sound AIDS-related
public policy. AIDS is a global problem, and we believe that if we can help one person avoid getting HIV/AIDS or can save one more man, woman or child from dying of AIDS, that would be a great thing.
I've put a link to the fundraising page over in the right column. The page is created through amfAR's affiliation with FirstGiving.com, and your donation is transferred from FirstGiving directly to amfAR. The page will keep track of the total giving by UndiesDrawer readers, but I've set it so that it doesn't reveal your identity to the world when you donate.
Give whatever you can, and let's make a difference together.
