New Zealand Olympic coach banned to stands over players' underwear?
While everyone is wondering if the Chinese have broken the rules by allowing underage gymnasts, here at UndiesDrawer, we're finding ourselves boggled that the Olympic rulemakers apparently care what color underwear the Olympic athletes are wearing.
Adam from DeadGoodUndies pointed us to an online article noting that the New Zealand field hockey coach took punishment for 3 players found in a frivolous violation of the Olympic underwear rules.
Although New Zealand's field hockey team normally wears black shorts and black shirts, for their match against China they switched to a uniform of white shorts and white shirts. Apparently, under Olympic field hockey rules, shorts and underwear must match, and three players, Bradley Shaw, Simon Child and Blair Hopping, must not have had white underwear on hand. Instead they wore the normal black underwear (they look more like compression shorts) under the white shorts.

Due to these petty violations, the players were to be suspended and not allowed to play the next game, but their coach stepped in and took the heat, saying he's responsible for their uniforms. As such, he had to spend the next game in the stands.
Sounds like the Germans may face even more problems. The Germans also had to switch from their usual black shorts to their red uniform, but they couldn't come up with enough red underwear to match, so they wore their black underwear underneath. Due to the warnings given when New Zealand was penalized, German may be in a world of hurt as it's possible their manager may face a 2-game suspension, all over the color of their underwear.
