By which I don’t mean that they’ve lost it. In fact, I think that they may be on the right path. And what am I talking about? Well, AussieBum have recently launched their latest eco-friendly men’s underwear creation. They’ve dubbed it the Banana Range, since it is made from the bark of the banana plant blended with organic cotton. The range consists of two styles, a brief and a hipster. Right now, according to Sean Ashby, the founder of AussieBum , they are the only company to use banana bark fibers in their men’s underwear creations. They’ve chosen banana fiber, because it is characterized by a high luster, is lightweight, offers very good moisture absorption and is currently considered one of the most eco-friendly fibers in the world.
The AussieBum Banana Briefs come in white with a green elastic waistband with the AussieBum logo. They are made from a super comfortable organic cotton and banana bark fiber blend. They’re currently retailing for $25.85, which is not steep at all. Not for such an innovative piece of men’s underwear.
And for all those who like to cover up a bit more, there’s the AussieBum Banana Hipster. It’s also made from the same blend of banana fibers and organic cotton as the briefs. They also only come in white at this time and retail for $28.28. Definitely worth checking out.
Both of these two styles are available through their online store, as well as in several US retail stores, including Just One La in Los Angeles and Male UWear in Dallas, among others.
